Which AI interior design app keeps your room layout? (tested)
Short answer
RoomsGPT kept our room best, followed by Paintit. Reimagine Home shifted the perspective and Spacely shifted walls and geometry. HomeDesignsAI and MeltFlex changed the room the most; MeltFlex turned it into a different room.
Based on our hands-on test on Oct 16, 2026: Empty white room (right-wall window, concrete floor, left-wall outlet), prompt "Living Room + Scandinavian". Tools change often; see full test results and warnings.

Tools we could not test
- Collov AI: Could not test: signup bug. Email verification accepts the code but never creates the account (tried twice on Oct 16, 2026).
- AiHouse: Not tested: requires Google/Facebook login.
- DecorAI: Could not test without a card: the site advertises '3 Free Designs', but Generate opens a trial that becomes $24/month (plans $24/mo, $120/6 months, $240/year). We stopped before entering a card; there was no free generation without starting a trial (Oct 16, 2026).
