How we test: the same-room method

Every tool gets the exact same inputs, so differences come from the tool, not the photo.

  1. Five standard rooms: a messy living room, an empty bedroom, a small kitchen, a dark rental and an awkward-shaped room. We use our own photos or properly licensed images.
  2. Same settings: the same style (e.g. "Scandinavian") and the same prompt in every tool, using free tiers first.
  3. What we score (1–5): keeping the room's structure (walls, windows, layout), realism, watermarking, speed, and real cost per image.
  4. Dated results: every test shows its date, and we re-run tests every quarter as tools change.
  5. Independence: affiliate relationships never affect scores. Tools can't pay to rank higher.
The first round of tests hasn't been run yet. Results will appear here once published.
